It's time to release the tension at the end of the day and watch some online comedy documentary films, right? Surfing the net we discovered Guidedoc.tv, a friendly site to watch entertaining documentaries at very low cost. Now, here are the three documentaries of its varied catalog that made us smile the most.
"How To Become A Hero" is certainly a very rare documentary in its kind. The film is led by its own director, the Serbian filmmaker Mladen Maticevic, who at fifty years of age feels he has not done anything important in his profession, so he decides to make a 360 degree change in search of an achievement that makes him feel that living is worth it. Instead of traveling to South Asia to shoot a documentary film about Bangladesh, Maticevic makes an even more unexpected decision: he prepares to run 42 Kilometers in the Belgrade International Marathon. What at first seems like a crazy challenge becomes an endearing effort of a man to feed his self-esteem. The humorous comments and the ironies of Maticevic, who also acts as his fiercest critic, liven up the whole film. The movie finds its most solemn part when Maticevic's parents pass away before the marathon, which means a deeper motivation for our hero to achieve his desired goal. Watch this documentary now in Guidedoc "A Dog's Life: A Dogamentary", as the title of the film says, tells the story of a very peculiar couple in the format of a personal blog. In this case, we are talk about a video blog made by the Emmy-winning filmmaker Gayle Kirschenbaum to document her coexistence with Chelsea, a little Shih Tzu and her roommate of her New York apartment. The film is full of funny home-based moments that every pet owner will feel identified with. Due to Gayle´s eloquence when she communicates with her dog it is simply impossible to stop smiling, yet the film manages to transcend this anecdotal dimension by documenting the critical days after 9/11, an event that changes the lives of our protagonists forever. Watch this documentary now in Guidedoc If you feel like going on one of those funny road movies, you can not miss "The Special Need", another rare story about a thirty-year-old young man with autism who wishes to have his first sexual relationship. His name is Enea, and with the help of his best friends he embarks on a trip from Italy to Austria in an old wagon hoping that a brothel becomes the place where he gets that vestige of love that until now he has not been able to feel. One of his companions on this trip full of youthful freshness is the director of the documentary, Carlo Zoratti, who, before the journey begins, documents the followed - and sometimes annoying - attempts of Enea when courting women. But this is not an isolated behavior, you see, finding his dream woman has become almost an obsession. Watch these and other great documentaries on GuideDoc
